Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal yoga is appropriate for all stages of pregnancy. Yoga is the perfect way to prepare your mind and body for childbirth. Classes will include meditative breath work to encourage relaxation as well as lots of poses to stretch and strengthen the hips and back. Yoga is a wonderful way to connect with yourself and your baby as you envision the journey ahead. No previous yoga experience is necessary.

Arlee’s prenatal yoga teaching experience:

  • 100 hour prenatal teacher training with Barrett Reinhorn of Five Points Yoga in Cambridge, MA, 2014

  • doula training, toLabor birth organization, 2014

  • Arlee did yoga all throughout both of her pregnancies, postpartum time, and now her kids do yoga with her!

Men’s Yoga

The class will follow a traditional vinyasa flow with a different emphasis each week depending on the preference of the group. We may focus on upper body and core strength, deep stretching, breath and relaxation, mindful balance, or combinations of these.

Those with only a little or no yoga experience are invited to join. You will progress at your own pace and modifications of many of the asanas (poses) will be offered. More experienced yogis will be encouraged to take their practice to their own limits and arm balances and inversions may be explored. The last several minutes of every class will be devoted to savasana (total relaxation).
